In Key Stage 4, students have the opportunity to focus their studies on specific IGCSE subjects. They will get the chance to focus on what interests them or what they wish to study when they move on to university.
At Belvedere British School, we offer a range of subjects at International GCSE (IGCSE): Maths, English Language, English Literature, Triple Science, Double Science, Single Science, Human Biology, Psychology, ICT, Art, Business, Geography, Global Citizenship, History and French.
Our IGCSE options are all two year linear courses that are administered by Pearson Edexcel. Students will begin their ICGSE course in August 2022 and will be assessed in all course content in May 2024.
Key Stage 4 students will also have lessons in Arabic and Islamic (where applicable) and these subjects will be available to select as an IGCSE should a student wish to sit these. Students will be required to take three core subjects (English, Maths and Science), and a further five optional subjects. All optional choices will be subject to minimum class sizes and
availability of option blocks.
In order to be meet the ADEK requirements, students should pass five subjects (including English and Maths) with a minimum of a Grade 3.
